Now that you have sold your Package, there’s one more thing to keep in mind when you’re delivering on your sponsorship. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that all influencers disclose that they are being paid to promote their sponsors. What the FTC is trying to do is to help you be clear to your audience that you are paid (you don't have to say how much) to create content for your sponsor.
To be compliant, what you need to do is to state very clearly in your content that it is sponsored. To do that, you have a few options:
- State in your post that you are partnered with @brand. Read this article by Forbes for a more detailed explanation.
- Add a hashtag at the beginning of your hashtag section.
- In videos, state clearly at the beginning of your video that it is sponsored.
In most cases, you can use #ad, #sp, #sponsored, #tinysponsored or say that you’re "working with" or "partnering with" your sponsor. If there is room for more text (such as in the description section or in a sponsored editorial), you should address the sponsorship clearly.

Example On Instagram: "🌴🌊 @maliburumus sent me a literal message in bottle telling me to go to South Beach for my own personal spring vacation. A little spontaneous #becausesummer! Let's see what fun awaits in Miami tomorrow! #ad"
Example On Youtube: "Thank you to Qualcomm for sponsoring today’s show!"
Note that there are 2 mentions: In the description and also in the beginning of the video.
Example On Facebook: “Julius Dein with Doritos. Christmas Magic with Doritos #boldchipmas #ad”
